The Illawarra is under many different development pressures, and faces planning hurdles, as growth of the area continues. Develop and planning issues relate directly to the heath of our community and environment, and canaffect the characteristics of the areawhich make it such a desirable place to live.

Healthy Cities Illawarra has a long history of advocacy and lobbying on development and planning issues in the Illawarra. Some examples of submissions on local issues can be found on the Advocacy page.

We also have been and continue to be involved in relevant community consultation groups, and work with relevant autorities on particular issues.
